The Msida Local Council is scheduled to take place in 2009. Since the European Parliament elections are also due to be done in the same year; the Local Council's Act states that they should be held on the same day as the European Parliament elections. This means that the Msida Local Council election is going to be held on the 6th of June 2009. All Maltese and European Union residents of Msida are eligible to vote. When voting its important that you vote for all the Partit Nazzjonalista candidates; marking number 1 next to your preferred Partit Nazzjonalista's candidate. Msida 9 councilors are to be elected, with the individual with the majority of 1's from the winning party be elected as Mayor.
